This adds to its accessibility to the masses. All that is needed to play the game of soccer is a soccer ball, shin guards, and goalie equipment. A soccer game may be played either indoors or outside. It is played on a rectangular field with a goal net on each short side of the field. A soccer team is comprised of 11 players. All players must hit the ball with their feet or body and only the goalie is allowed to touch the ball with his or her hands. A soccer game begins with a kick off en the center of the field. A coin is flipped to decide which team will kickoff. The other team kicks of at the start of the second half. At this time the teams also switch sides or nets. After a team scores the other team gets to kickoff to begin play again. The kickoff takes place in the middle of the field. When the ball is kicked it must travel the circumference of the ball and touch another player before the kicker can touch the ball again. When it crosses the touch line the team that did not touch it last throws the ball in bounds. The ball is thrown over their head with two hands. Eddie Lee The book I chose was â€Å" Be Good to Eddie Lee† written by Virginia Fleming. The book is based on a little boy who has Down’s syndrome. The three main characters are Christy, Eddie Lee who has Down’s syndrome and JimBud. The story is about a hot summer day and a quest to find frog eggs in the lake that they all live near. Christy was taught by her mother to be nice to Eddie Lee even though he is different. JimBud on the other hand, is unkind to Eddie Lee because he thinks he is a dummy. After reading this book I found that many of the six values of teaching were touched upon. The first value that I noticed was the one called â€Å"Envisioning Great Expectations†. This little boy Eddie Lee was allowed to play and go about as a normal child. There were no restrictions placed upon him based on his exceptionality. He was free to play down by the pond and walk in the woods just like the other kids. The second value that was also used in this book was â€Å"Enhancing Positive Contributions†. This was shown when Eddie Lee took Christy to the pond he had found deep in the woods and showed her the frog eggs. Christy was really surprised by this because she and JimBud had been looking themselves and couldn’t find any. This made Christy realize that Eddie Lee was just as capable of finding things as Jimbud was, even though Eddie Lee was different. The third value that I saw being used in this book was â€Å"Building on Strengths†. I found this when Eddie Lee was standing on the edge of the lake with JimBud and Christy screaming â€Å"BEE-U-TI-FUL.† This is when Christy realizes for the first time that there was more to the lake than just frog eggs. She sees what Eddie Lee is seeing and understands that some people see things different than others. She was to busy looking for frogs eggs that she didn’t even notice how beautiful the lake was and if it wasn’t for Eddie Lee she might not ever have. The fourth value that I found being used in this book was â€Å"Acting on Choice† Even though Eddie was told to stay home by both Christy and JimBud he chose to follow them. After eavesdropping on there conversation, Eddie Lee takes the initiative and grabs Christy’s hand and takes her to where she can really see some frogs eggs.

In the world today, when you hear the words ATT, Cox Cable, DirectTV and Comcast the first thing that would typically come to mind is enjoying sports and family television. Often time’s customers don’t really know into the weeds of a company until something goes wrong. In what seems to be the early 2 000s, this is for Americans, this company and the world things drastically changed due to unethical behavior from some of the company’s top leaders within the organization. What will be revealed in this case study below, many people would not believe that all this happen over the course of a short time and how far people will go to gain what they believe is â€Å"success† at any cost. Introduction In this case study we were asked to draw upon deontological ethics, and briefly discuss how Adelphia Communications’ executives violated the trust of the company’s shareholders and the trust of that of the larger public. Throughout this paper I will highlight two key ethical problems that were raised by the Adelphia Communications case. Utilizing Immanuel Kant’s Categorical Imperative, â€Å"deontological ethics† or so duty rights will be shared. Then I will apply the deontological framework of business ethics to the two key ethical problems that will be identified. Finally Kant’s Categorical Imperative will be applied to those two ethical problems as well. Adelphia Communication scandal/ethical problems In the March of the early 2000s, Adelphia officials was charged with stealing on what could be classified as a â€Å"grand scale† event. Around that same time, the company
